About The Oklahoma Ranger

I am an Oklahoman...and a longtime Rangers fan. I saw my first game in 1974 (I was four years old at the time). To me, the old Arlington Stadium was a palace--especially the giant Texas scoreboard above the left field bleachers. My favorite player as a boy was Mike Hargrove...and I had his human rain delay routine down pat. Each year my family would trek south from our Oklahoma home to watch a few Rangers games. When I was back home, I would spend my summer evenings curled next to my radio listening to the WBAP broadcasts. Now, I am a father of two young children and I am hoping that they will learn to love the Rangers almost as much as I do.
